Re: Which oil where and how?!

Thank you :) When the Mindy is running, if i take the oil filler cap off should I see oil splashing about in there? I've just removed the sump and cleaned it all out, freed the pressure relief valve from being stuck so I had no oil pressure, the oil pressure gauge now works fine and all looks good ...

Brake fluid DOT 3 - 4 or 5?

Well been thinking time I changed my fluid again and a few years back I changed the fluid in my ARGO TANK to Silicone DOT5 as it stands for long times with no use. So have been looking about and many classic Willys owners now use DOT5 for many reasons in fact many vehicles the US Army have sold have...

Re: Radiator on low hood

Has anyone found a place to make some silicon top hoses yet as these standard ones only seem to last about 4 years and start to split? I am contacting a company now and waiting for a reply, I have a old spare to send them to copy before my current one expires again. Looks like it will cost about £40...

Re: Front brakes.

After all the hassle I had with the bleed nipple position on the SJ callipers I have to ask is it right that they should be on the low side in that photo as you may have air in there. If that was on the other side of the car or to the front of the wheel you may not have a problem. I guess that when ...

Re: What to do ???

That looks to me like chassis/ cross member, some floor and side panel. All work that could be done at home with a mig welder that may cost you about £250-300 and some scrap metal. Mig welding is quite good fun once you get into it but do you have a dry area to work in out of the rain while you do a...

Re: Mahindra back in the UK

I had a Dacia Ruster it was my first car, the spec was promising 1400cc Renault engine and the looks of a small Range Rover but the build and rust resistance was terrible.
I still remember taking the freewheel hubs apart and could not understand why they seemed to have rusty nails inside them :sorry:

Re: clutch facts

Well the parts are all fitted and working now so proof that the US parts work. :yahoo:

I was also told a old 2.3 from a Ford Siera would fit on this gearbox.
