Vintage class...?

Hi all. I got talking to guy a few weeks back and he asked me how old my jeep was. I said it was registered in the UK in '93. He then went onto say when it reaches 25 years old it should be classed as vintage which means you stop paying tax. Hadn't really thought about it. Any truth to that?

Re: Rear brake cylinders

Borrowed hub pullers can be dodgy. Best practice still seems to be getting one knocked up locally. ;)

Re: Reverse Gear.

Hi Chief and folks, finally managed to take a look at my gearbox today. The problem appears to be something knackered in the bolt spring and ball setup on the side of the box. Here; Hard to see but there is a ball bearing running in the groove down...

Reverse Gear.

Hey guys, I noticed today that selecting reverse gear was a problem. I had to lift my foot of the clutch feel for the teeth then press back on the pedal to engage. I haven't check the oil for sometime. Anybody come across this before. Any ideas? Thanks. :hello:

Re: thinking of bidding on this one

In essence what you're dealing with is 1950's technology. So, if you can read a workshop manual and the thought of using tools and a grease gun on a regular basis doesn't bother you - bid away. Good luck. :D

Re: Mahindra Catalogue

Thanks Alan. Check out this article as the writer declares that the term “Jeep” is still permitted even to this day. It’s in the third para down. The thing is the PO took the Mahindra logo off my grill and I’m getting fed up with the usual Q@A merry go round by so called experts. :glare: I figured ...
