Re: PW's meanderings with Peaches the Jeep

Well all good things must come to an end and with a small tear in my eye :bye: I must report that I sold Peaches today to a new owner . She's been replaced with a SUMB called "Claude" which will be more useful for the events we run and I'm sure a good giggle as well but not as cute as Peaches. Big t...

Re: Wildly off topic...

Cheers for the thoughts, I'm already in HMVF but not much austiness going on there. Went to have a look at a few today , two of which had diesel conversions. Not too worried about the fuel, as miles will be low in a year anyway . They are bigger than I remember, thought more 101 sized ..... Hmmmm du...

Vacuum Pump and Servo unit

Hello Help ! I'm pretty sure my servo is not working reading what Cheiftain put about brake pressures on another thread. The "pull" from the pump at the hose end is feeble, so think it could be the diaphragm holed in the pump . ( Catholic disaster ? ) The pump looks like the two haves are folded tog...

Re: PW's meanderings with Peaches the Jeep

Can't claim I climbed underneath to have a look , it was RWD with an escort engine and box. Might have been a custom chassis, or just a ripped out floorpan and subframes ? who cares :D

Re: PW's meanderings with Peaches the Jeep

Ah well , back from the Eastern front and 24 hours of living in a wood . Peaches did the 300 odd miles with ease , the rain was fun , as was driving down through Shropshire with a Kubelwagon in tow . She was being a captured US Jeep for this one, tracking down peskie russians who kept blowing her up...

Re: PW's meanderings with Peaches the Jeep

Well I'm looking at the weather forecast, contemplating driving from Aylesbury to Clun on Friday , wishing I'd bought the doors kit for Peaches.

Mind you this is her first "battle" coming up , 24 hours and 12 miles of forest roads, Russian partisans and land mines. I hope she comes back unscathed !

Re: Minnies first show

Glad Minnie had a good time . :D There's something about Jeeps that makes people smile , I've not had adverse comments at all since having one . As to the rivet counters, Cheiftain is right , the best form of response is definately "oh can I have a look at yours then " 99% of the time they are just ...
