Re: Front hub bearing play?

Well I didn't know there were two cylinders per side. And you know what? They all leak! That's the disc conversion decision made for me. At last a convert ! *LOL* Drums are better if its standing for 2 years or more ! Otherwise Suzuki Disc Conversions take the same time as a hub overhaul ! :thumbsu...

Re: unregistered beast - how can I date it? + willys jeep sp

I saw a number stamped into the offside front chassis just behind the front bumper on outside vertical surface.

This maybe the "A" number you have ? But is was a few years ago !

Maybe my memory is not so much total recall as total forget all ! *LOL*

Re: Glow Plugs

As a philistine when it comes to Relay/Timer control route, I am mildly amused as to the effort to replace duff technology when a really really useful mod of a starter solenoid is quick easy and cheap ! Let the flame wars commence *LOL* :tease: Tim OK, game on, cheiftain reaches quickly for ...

Re: Mahindra Workshop Manual

Yes, they are still available. I have the masters and copyright now, but I have no hard copies at the moment. I'm looking at releasing it in PDF format (much cheaper) but I haven't finalised a watermark for it yet. Give me a few weeks to get it sorted and I'll let ya know ;) I'd buy a pdf version w...

Re: Glow Plugs

Now Keith and I may disagree on this, but my preference is to manually control the Glowplug time . The first start of the day takes longer than a start on a warm engine. Once the engine is warm often glow plugs are not needed. Many cars allow a start during the timer on period. Marksmen do not. (Sto...

Re: Glow Plugs

I put an extra push button to power a mini/Series 3 starter solenoid. Not there are two sorts of solenoids in use a 33 Amp one which takes 23 seconds to get to max temperature and a 6 second one. Easy to find out which *LOL*. I have a very rare device which is a clamp DC Ammeter and measured to curr...

Re: CJ3B Page. Knuckle pudding.

I use the Landy grease as some lubrication is loads better than no lubrication.

semi-knackered knuckles leak like a sieve amd 98% are in that state

Re: Marksman Engine sensors

Hi Tim. I've got a Marksman at my Dad's place (which i'll soon have back in may garage). When I go down to get the work done so I can get her though an MOT and drive her back i'll take a good look and let you know what sensors are fitted and where they are located. Sorry I can't help until then. St...
