Hi all, I'm Rob or yarders from essex.

Just bought an indian chief as a bit of boys toy. absolutely delighted and having a lot of fun.

Currently done up as US army jeep (vietnam era) complete with machine gun. Would like to change more to ww2 style at
some stage but hey, no rush.

Thanks for welcome lads.

Yes it was the one on ebay back in september.

It was in good condition and so far seems a good buy for the money.

the tub was fairly rust free. just need to service the engine and sort small clutch fluid leak.

any advice on where to get spares, would be greatly appreciated.

will try and post some pics.

Hi Rob, welcome to the site. what part of essex you in? I'm just over the border near Bury st Edmunds. Not many of us in this part of the sticks.
Parts can be ordered from Ahmed in India, very reliable guy, dealt with him now for some time, as have several of our members. look on here this link will get you in touch.

Yes Ahmed is a really good guy and I was surprised how quick I got the parts from India....you can also ask him to get you some specific parts, he did this for me and then listed them on eBay, sending me the link

Cheers

Panels can be got from www.jeeparts.com or co.uk up in shropshire but they will be for the SWB CJ3B Willys, depends on whether you want front or rear side panels as the Chief is longer by 11" in the front door panel.

Hey Rob, When you say side panels, do I guess you mean the canvas ones?

I have a pair, from my old Mindy......I can measure them and post pics if you're interested.....they may be a bit light for your colour canvas as I'm sure your jeep had olive green canvas, and this is more 'sand coloured'

Anyway drop me a PM if you're interested

I also have a set of olive green canvas doors witht he right hinge attachment, again PM me if interested

Cheers
Ieuan
