hi all mahindra owners, i am new to this site but already in the few days that i am a member, i have found so much useful info about our CJ540. thanks to all for that, so happy to have found the site, ours has only done about 11,000 since it’s birth in 1991. we own this car for 5 months only as it was part of the sale of a house in south of france:). does anybody have any clue what this car is worth?
best regards
rené

morning kevin, thanks for your estimate, it is indeed a 1991 model. the price is a bit disappointing, but such is life, we were not planning to sell it anyway😄, we use it as a workhorse, and it performs well. i would like to make it better as rubbers ect. are dried out, i hope that “ahmed” from india as i read in this website can help in this:). the mechanics are straight forward. i hope to download the manual once alan get it back on this site. thanks again for your time, it is nice to know an approx. value of it.

YOU CAN MAKE IT LOOK MORE LIKE A U S ARMY, AND THAT CAN BRING THE PRICE UP ,THE SHORT WHEEL BASE STILL MAKES MORE MONEY BUT YOURS IS A BIT MORE PRACTICAL

thanks kev for the idea, i also wondered if the price goes up when it gets older, however it runs well, mechanics are not too complicated, it is solidly made, it went through the french “mot”, so we can run it on the road too. i am a little “worried” that if some parts would go behound repair, that it might be very difficult to source parts:(? the mahindra is garaged and we don’t use it in rain. it is through this website that i found out that the clutch slave cilinder is from a toyota around the 1988. eventually i ordered one from the states. repaired the broken/worn one with an oring i had, and that wirks for the past 3 weeks :). i also found a list on this site what the makes are of various components. i would also like to find the gearlever rubbers around the gear sticks. any idea anyone? jeep? best regards to all!!
