Rally 2008

Post by Alan » Sat Aug 09, 2008 9:55 pm

As mentioned elsewhere, the Register Rally will be at 'Cheapfest' this year.

Cheapfest will be held on 6th and 7th September. (Camping from 5th) at

Coney Green Farm
Ribbesford Road
Stourport on Severn
DY13 0TE

Costs for the weekend are £35 all in or £20 for the day. All proceeds are donated to a nominated charity. Offroading is available and recommended but if you don't want to then its not a requirement. I will gladly take people out in my my Jeep during the weekend. Watching is nearly as much fun. There will be a guided night run on Saturday night and of course the usual bonfire. This event is all about having a relaxed social weekend with some offroading if you want it.

As this event is now only a few weeks away its time to offer your support. Obviously I will be there for the entire weekend.

So, who else will be attending ?

Sorry Alan. same weekend as local Rally were all ready booked for.
to late to change it now :rules: :beg:

Had a look on Google Earth looks like one heck of a site m8.

Have Fun all who go.. :yahoo:
The journey isn't about departing in a well preserved body - but rather to skid in sideways - totally worn out - shouting HOLY SHIT WHAT A RIDE!!!!

Be More like a Dog, If you can't, Eat it, Play with it, Chase it, or Bark at it, Just Piss on it and walk away.

Come on folks who's commin ?

I can't stress enough that this is a social event. Think about it, how often do you get the chance to meet like minded, friendly people who have an unhealthy facination with oddball jeeps. Sitting / standing around chewing the fat is the only compulsory requirement of the weekend. Turn up in your ordinary road car if you can't make it in the jeep.

Of course there is offroading available if you want to have a go and there is lots of advice and help on offer if you want it.

Come on then ....

Alan.

Well the Jeeps nearly packed, just waitin for my wife to finish work and were off to Cheapfest. :D :yahoo:

Rain will ease to showers according to the guess-cast but our tent is waterproof and so am I so I don't care. It just means more mud

Hi Alan:
hope you had a great time with the Birties.

We ended up rained off on our Booked Rally, so much muck about and water everywhere, nothing could get on the Rally site.

So we took the 500 Enfield out instead on Sunday, on a Charity Motorbike Run in Aid of the Local Air Ambulance, Dunton to the Port of Harwich, great day, got soaked to the skin, along with 3000 other Bike nuts. But Hey!! no mud!!!! so not so much fun

Even Dot Cotton and Jim turned up from Eastenders. this raised over £16000 not bad concidering the weather.

hope the turn out was good up there ?
