Radiator and Exhaust 1991 Indian Chief

Post by bigbough » Thu Aug 07, 2014 3:33 pm

Hi. I have to renew my radiator and complete exhaust system.
Is there a high performance Rad that I can fit.
What type of exhaust do I search for, I would like something a little quieter. Is it advisable to fit a catalytic converter at this time
Cheers

No need for a CAT, on these old buses.
The journey isn't about departing in a well preserved body - but rather to skid in sideways - totally worn out - shouting HOLY SHIT WHAT A RIDE!!!!

I would be surprised if Mahindra Chief exhaust systems are available in the UK. Check with Kwik-Fit et al otherwise preserve the manifold connection and take the existing system to a bespoke exhaust manufacturing company and get a replica made.

The alternative is to trawl the Kit-Car pages, buy the bits and make your own. That way you will get the degree of noise dampening you require as many of the silencers are re-packable.

It may also be possible to get a complete system from Ahmed in Hyderabad but its probably not logistically feasible.
