All Aussie spec CJ340DP Mindies came with P.T.O. as standard.
I have a vague feeling that not all "jeep" P.T.O's may interchangeable / something to do with cogs being different.
"hermtheoverdriveguy" has a different listing for overdrives to suit Mahindras, due to a different tooth count [or something like that]
might be worth a bit of research.
on a related vein - anyone ever seen a 3 point linkage on a CJ3B? and have decent photos, diagrams and tech. info?

If your P.T.O. doesn't fit - give "hermtheoverdriveguy" an email - he might be able to supply the cogs needed to convert yours so it matches up to the mindie transfer case.

The link below will get you to herm's info regarding overdrives,
The P.T.O. is usually removed and the overdrive takes it's place - but herm has an adaptor so you can run both the overdrive AND the P.T.O.
The link has a listing of which overdrives suit which particular make and/or model of jeep, there is also instructions for determining how many teeth your transfer case has [which will relate directly to your P.T.O.]
When you nail down which P.T.O. you have - and confirm that your transfer case is a Mahindra, give herm a buzz and see if he can supply the correct cogs to match your P.T.O to your transfer case.
You have me a bit jealous - I have been looking for a P.T.O. rear gearbox for some time, with no luck - and have been tempted to cobble one together using salvaged bits and pieces.
[the rear cross member mounted gearbox is normally a 1:1 ratio - all it does is reverse the direction of rotation.]
I have 2 x Mahindra P.T.O.'s in my shed, tomorrow I will dig them out and count the teeth for you as a reference.

Well.....I survived crawling through my shed!
no bandaids needed [for once]
The P.T.O. cog that butts up into the transfer case has 15 teeth / splines on both my P.T.O.'s,
Interestingly, the housings of both of mine are virtually identical apart from one having a ruddy great long part or serial number stamped into the housing, while in the same location on the other there is only two digits or numerals cast into the housing [that I cant read].
Both are taken from Aussie specification CJ340DP Mahindra manufactured transfercases.
I can't get a clear view of the teeth / splines in your second photo - but it looks like you might be lucky!
