Chickie and Glow Plugs

Post by Tim036 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 7:26 pm

Chickie (A Stockman- ?) had the old style 33 Amp glow plugs that take 18 to 22 seconds to warm up. I replaced them with the more modern 6 second glow plugs and now starts on first twist !

Now the old arrangement went through the ammeter but the 100 Amps taken by the new set can't do that and I used 115 Amp wire to connect it in via starter solenoid straight from the battery.

A lot is wrong with it so now its mobile I'll put together a check list of parts needed !

:) :) :)
