disk brake converson
Re: disk brake converson

little old Datsun L18 "powered" Cj4a , but they'll look impressive lying on the garage floor next to it and the growing piles of bits destined to
go on it

And looks like a nice job you made of it too Rev.
don't forget to bless them with the holy muddy water,
I'm still on drums all round, more in keeping with the current look. just utter a prayer before stopping.

The journey isn't about departing in a well preserved body - but rather to skid in sideways - totally worn out - shouting HOLY SHIT WHAT A RIDE!!!!

Re: disk brake converson
And with the Rev's help I hope to be the next one to have a full working disc with handbrake on the rear!
Great idea of yours to use the Rover 400 stuff, no need for compensators or new braided hoses etc, cheaper brackets too, so simple when you show us how!

Re: disk brake converson
ok guys, as i am very close to having my jeep on the road, want to do the front disc conversion. how do i contact Tim for the back plates/ caliper mounts ?
and after reading this thread a few times am still unsure whos idea of what calipers to use!
rover 214 (that seem to be a bit of a miss fit but work ok ,or the sj410/413 calipers(that will fit the discs correctly) or Vitara calipers(and discs?)
sorry to be a pain on this old thread
thanks
Doug
