CLUTCH / STARTER

hi all HAD A CLUTCH ABOUT 2 WEEK AGO OF AHMED IT WAS PERFECT . WHILE IT WAS OF THE ROAD DID EXHAUST / STARTER & ALTy .... :banghead: starter clutch are no longer available had it machined down it was no good my friend got me one from Germany . I didnt use ahmed as this I needed it quick .. BUT AHMEDS STARTERS ARE A GOOD PRICE

HI KEV .. ALL WHENT WELL BUT FOUND OUT THE STARTER CLUTCH GEAR AS NO LONGER AVALABLE THE GUY IN THE REPAIR SHOP HAD TO turn 3mm off and file up the teeth OF THE gear but it was not right starter spun on bench great BUT WAS US ON JEEP .. THE GUY WAS OK HE KEPT MY STARTER AND GAVE ME A FULL REFUND

Hi grandad what did clutch parts did you have from ahmed and was it a cable clutch not a hydralic one cheers smarty

HI I BROUGHT CLUTCH COVER.. PLATE AND BARING KIT THE PRICE off ahmed and plus uk import tax on when you pick up from royal mail about £26 :banghead: oil for steering box any spares shop filler nut on top when you have chance post some pics hope this helps

Hi Grandad thanks for the info with the steering box is there a drain bolt or do I just top it up cheers smarty

hi smarty I think we topped it up or we had a empty gear box oil filler with a spout . souse it almost flat and sucked some of the old oil out then topped up .. it probably dose have a drain plug but not to shore .. I did drain all other oils like you ... hope this helps cheers
